Philip Coulter
After training at Ballymaloe House in his native Ireland, Phil spent years traveling and working around the globe, including Stars in San Francisco, The International in Sydney, and Roscoff in Belfast – as well as some hole-in-the-wall joints in Paris, Montreal and Lyon.
Back in London, he worked at the legendary Kensington Place with Rowleigh Leigh, Racine with Henry Harris, and The Wright Brothers, where he was head chef at Borough Market, before setting up their South Kensington outpost.
With over 20 years experience in restaurants and hospitality, he recently founded Philthyfood, a private chef consultancy and food styling business for film and advertising.
Phil is passionate about provenance and seasonality. He believes a cook is only as good as his produce. When cooking at home, he prioritises nutrition as much as taste
with an emphasis on gut-friendly foods and fermentation.
When not the kitchen, you will find him looking for rare vinyl in record shops, or in his garden trying to grow something.
His recipes are seasonal, healthy and a simple way to utilise the best of British produce.
